Located at 123 Swanston St (Upstairs on 1st Floor) in Melbourne's CBD, the Crossways restaurant offers 'all you can eat' food, drinks and desserts for five dollars ($5!!!). The food is healthy and always rich with fresh vegetables and fantastic rice. The halava dessert is a highlight (a sweet, glutenous oriental dish, served with custard). Drinks are a choice of cordial, water or lassi (Indian yoghurt drink). The lassi and cordial can be mixed to make a creamy, fruity concoction.
Crossways is open Monday-Saturday from 11.30 to 2.30. It offers a relaxed, 'loft' environment for dining and clients have the option of reading any of the numerous spiritual texts with their meal. It also has intriguing spiritual paintings that add to the peaceful atmosphere.
